And is Six Pack considered a sports movie? Probably not. Darn.

9. Caddyshack
10. Bad News Bears

Joe
If NASCAR is a "sport", then sure, Six Pack is a sports movie, as are Days of Thunder and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. But the best racing movie has to be Greased Lightning. It's just not in my top ten.

Major League
The Natural
Bull Durham

There has to be more love for Slap Shot! That movie rocks!!

I also enjoyed the original Caddyshack, the original Major League and Friday Night Lights.

Agreed! I don't even follow hockey but I love that movie. Saw Mystery, AK for the first time the other day and liked it, but I really loved Miracle. I thought they did a really nice job on that one and I loved Kurt Russell. And Prefontaine is underrated, too.

No love for Any Given Sunday huh?

My favorites in no particular order:

Bull Durham - just a fun movie to watch, very enjoyable and very rewatchable
Field of Dreams - was a good movie growing up and has taken on even more meaning now that I have a 4 yr old son
Any Given Sunday - the football in this movie was excellent and I greatly enjoyed the cinematography.
Caddyshack - so many great lines, such a classic

Honorable mention:
Major League - a funny feel good movie, just doesn't measure up to the others in my book though
Brewster's Millions - not technically a sports movie but minor league baseball was the main character's passion. I grew up watching Pryor and enjoyed this cheesy 80's movie.

8. Cinderella Man
9. The Natural

In no particular order, here are some not getting enough play here:

no love anywhere for Eight Men Out?

Happy Gilmore

and even though Kevin Costner isn't my favorite, I do love Bull Durham & Field of Dreams, and For Love of the Game was underrated, w/a decent soundtrack, too

Victory (Sly Stallone as an unintentional parody of a dumb American who gets stuck in goal: priceless)

The Big Lebowski (there are some bowling scenes in there; w/o the bowling alley you couldn't do the movie)

Pride of the Yankees (can't make a list like this w/o it!)

The Rookie

On the Waterfront

Sports Movies I've Heard Great Things About But Haven't Seen Yet

61*

Bang the Drum Slowly
spacemanspiff
I haven't seen a ton of movies in general, so I might not get to 8 (unless I list the crappy ones I've seen), but here are my favorites (in no particular order):

Major League
The Natural
Field of Dreams
Remember the Titans
Hoosiers
Miracle
Cool Runnings (may be stretching, and may not be a great movie, but I've always enjoyed it)
Joe
Cool Runnings is great (LOL), although (in my opinion) if it had someone other than John Candy, it would have been better.
