Re-name the Sonics

Much respect to Sonics fans - that would totally suck, what a blow... But the name and logo are staying and now there's a nameless NBA team.

Oklahoma City Chiefs
Oklahoma City Twisters
Oklahoma City Punchers (Stern will love this one!)
Oklahoma City Thunder/Lightning

Plus I wonder if they are going to re-align somehow, OKC playing in the Pacific doesn't make sense. They'd be on the plane more than any team in the league next year...

OKC would logically move to the Southwest but there is no logical team to pull out of the Southwest. Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans, and Memphis all make sense there.

Seattle played in the Northwest, not the Pacific so it's not AS bad! They'd end up traveling to Portland, Minny, Denver, Utah for road games. Can't say going from OKC to these cities is any worse than what Minny is already doing.

Thanks for straightening me out, havok... "Pacific" felt strange as I was typing it, I knew they had re-aligned a few years ago, guess I'm still stuck in the past...
