Mavericks get: Jason Kidd, Malik Allen

Nets get: Jerry Stackhouse, Devin Harris, Devean George and Dasagna Diop (both expiring contracts) and Maurice Ager

Kidd is the only player in the deal worth rostering in a 12-teamer and I think he could average more than his 11.3 ppg with NJ this season the rest of the way. His season line of 10.4 assists, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 threes, 1.5 steals and 82 FT should stay about the same in Dallas, and the same can be said about his horrible FG and TO numbers.

Diop should eat some of Boone's minutes now and Harris has never excited me and still doesn't.

As far as the scene in the west now, man the playoffs are gonna be the tits!

The Celtics road to an NBA Championship just got easier and it has nothing to do with the Nets. Whatever team emerges from the gauntlet that is now the West will come in tired to the NBA Championship having to face the three-headed monster of Boston. Boston will be able to put it on cruise control through the rest of the season and playoffs and be fresh as they play a beat up, exhausted West team (Lakers/Mavs/Suns/Spurs). I hope my mighty Lakers can reignite the greatest basketball rivalry with the Celtics and steal it from them.

As far as fantasy goes, Kidd's numbers shouldn't be too different and nobody the Nets got (you forgot the two first round picks BTW) is going to have any fantasy value. Stackhouse may even re-sign with the Mavs in 30 days once the Nets buy him out. I do, however, worry about what Diop will do to Boone's minutes and production.

...and now look at Devean George with the BALLS to block the trade. He's going to be a real team favorite now - hopefully Dallas can get another body to throw into the deal and get this thing expedited. I hated George when he was a Laker and he's far from out of my doghouse now.

George only makes 2.3 this season, and the only guys close in salary are Eddie Jones (bum) and Juwan Howard (bum). Looks like this one may have to be totally re-worked.
