I have been offered Grienke for my Rios. With the lack of any power that Rios has displayed, and the SBs that I don't really need, I can afford to part with him. Is Greinke enough in return? The guy has Hamels as well and I may be able to try to package someone together to get him, but I've tried in the past and it hasn't worked. Team in sig.

In a vaccum, I'd rather have Rios, but explain as to why you think this deal makes sense for your team.

I do think you could get more for Rios but this deal seems to works out pretty well for your team needs. I do agree with the sentiment that at this point in the year it's more important to deal for needs than just for value.

The reasons I think this could works are the excess SBs I have, the pitching depth I need, and the imminent return of Ortiz and Soriano. I could counter with Victorino.

Victorino would be a better counter - I'm a Jays fan, and it's baffling how Rios has all of a sudden lost his power - all it takes is a little adjustment in his swing and he could be swatting it again
